DejaBrew All Over Again is my team name in DCRoto.
We had a good day today. Here's a news item courtesy of Sportsline.com.
We had a good day today. Here's a news item courtesy of Sportsline.com.
News: The release of DH Gary Sheffield opens up at-bats again for slugging outfielder Marcus Thames, who was sent to the bench afterCarlos Guillen moved to left to flankCurtis Granderson in center andMagglio Ordonez in right. Jeff Larish is also likely to get some more at-bats.
Analysis: Thames has very good power potential, which makes him a late-round sleeper in mixed leagues that don't penalize strikeouts and all AL-only formats. He looks like a $1 bid in mixed and a $10 bid in AL-only now.
Yay!!! Gary Sheffield got cut. Ok, well that's probably sad for Mrs. Sheffield, but I think he'll be ok compared to average folks who are losing their jobs every day in this economy.
In all seriousness, I picked up Marcus Thames in the reserve draft for $0. He hit 25 home runs in 316 AB's last year. Can you imagine what he'll do with a full workoad. Hello cheap power.
DejaBrew on the rise baby!
